Industry Support
Film and TV Charity
Rare TV are early adopters of the Film and TV Charity’s Whole Picture Toolkit which they have used on three of their productions and are now implementing across all of their shows. It has been fantastic to see their commitment to supporting production teams’ mental health and wellbeing and ensuring it is embedded into the production process. Receiving positive feedback that the toolkit has helped to improve communication and teams are happier since introducing it is hugely encouraging and demonstrates how effective the Toolkit can be for companies who aspire to produce mentally healthy productions.

Equipment Hire
MAD DOGS TELEVISION, UK
We’ve had the privilege of working with Rare TV since 2019 providing broadcast equipment and crews across multiple shows and over multiple series. The team at Rare TV are always a joy to work with, from pre-production and planning of logistics for equipment and crew provision to working on location, on set, in the thick of it in far flung corners of the globe. The strong working relationship between Mad Dogs TV and Rare TV has been forged over time and means we all play to our unique and induvial strengths to get the job done, get the shot, and tell amazing stories, on time and on budget! The ability to provide crew as well as equipment on some of Rare TV larger series, such as Ice Airport Alaska enables us to provide Rare TV with, essentially, a member of our staff on location to help handle equipment maintenance and this works incredibly well to ensure minimal equipment downtime and minimal damage resulting in a smoother shoot and allowing members of production to focus on editorial content more and letting us worry about the technical. Over the various show we work with Rare TV to produce the production team are always easy to communicate with, questions, comments or issues are dealt with quickly and easily on both sides and it means we can all focus on the actual filmmaking to provide the best pictures and sound and do it with minimal fuss. When an email comes into our inbox from Rare it’s always a delight and we know we’ll be looked after along the production journey and means we can do the very same right back.
